Byotoji-do tosei gusoku
Mid Edo Period (1615-1867), 18th Century
This japanese armor is rated juyo (important) by the Nihon Katchu Bugu Rekishi Kenkyukai of Dr. Sasama Yoshiko, author of most of the books about japanese armors.
Very good kabuto of suji-bachi type with 62 plates, menpo finished in yasurime and kote in heavy and fine chain-mail. Do with shakudo byotoji.
The origami is dated 1989.
